POOL RENOVATIONS

Relining a pool can be expensive, but opting for a fibreglass relining brings costs down AND it reduces the time  between required maintenance.

It is often the case that we only realise that our pools are in dire need of a facelift or some crucial and mandatory maintenance when it’s too late and our friends are already knocking on the front door- beach balls and bikinis in tow. This is why we not only provide new installations, but ongoing maintenance as well.

The non-porous surface of a fibreglass swimming pool reduces the risk of bacterial build-up and is hygienic and easy to clean and maintain.  It has a smooth finish, is durable and does not leak.  Simply doing a pool relining gives you a brand new pool in an instant; it will cost a fraction of the price of a new pool and will last a lifetime.

When it comes to renovating the interior of old pools with fibreglass, Ultimate Pools approaches the project with complete confidence. Due to the fact that we specialize in fibreglass swimming pools we are aware of the necessity of using the correct materials and application to give our clients long lasting satisfaction and pool use… never leaving you red-faced when it’s time for a swim and the sun is out.

possible location, size, design and position of your new swimming pool.

From there, and once your quotation and paperwork is finalised, we will contact you with an installation date that suits you. This usually takes 5-10 days from when manufacturing is complete- and is obviously weather dependant. But rest assured, it will be in before you can pour your very first poolside Martini.

When relining your swimming pool, it is important to know that:  The application of fibreglass onto an existing structure is only as good as the structure itself, No matter how well you may apply the fibreglass, it is imperative that the structure is sound before proceeding The preparation of the surface is the most important part of the project. If your preparation is inadequate the lifespan of your renovation will be short lived. The application of the fibreglass has to be done by first wetting the pool surface with resin and then applying the fibreglass. Once this has been done more resin is applied from the front. The first application of resin secures the bond of the fibreglass to the pool surface and it is very important that both sides of the fibreglass are wet out properly. Once the fibreglass is applied and correctly rolled out to remove all air behind the laminate,  the fibreglass is prepared for the final coating. The final coating is done using a pool coat, which either comes in white or pool blue. The mosaic band is a tissue that is applied over the pool coat to finish off the pool. The resins Ultimate Pools uses are ISO resins and the pool coats are ISO NPG. The clear resin used over the mosaic is an ISO NPG, which has UV stabilizers to help against fading. Whether it’s a residential or commercial pool, Ultimate Pools, with its years of experience in the fibreglass industry, provides a result that gives you lasting pleasure, an asset to be proud of, a secure investment and a calendar full of fun days in the sun.
